@Josh, it's not the funniest humour in the world, and I'm fairly sure everyone got it. The point is, as I said before:

"Just because you're in a position to say 'told you so' does not make it fair for paying customers to be shafted by M$."

You can't say people 'deserve' this kind of treatment just because they were dumb enough to buy DRM-protected tracks... Yeah they were dumb, but that doesn't mean they 'deserve' to see their money disappear into the ether, does it!?

About the 'is an idiot - the ones that don't know how to rip a cd burned from itunes to avoid DRM' comment.

Such conversion from a lossy format (mp3, mp4) music to CD, then from CD to lossy format again, degrades the quality of music, and that why people like me don't do that. I prefer to purchase the ORIGINAL CD, then rip it, and save the CD just in case RIAA decide to stop by ....

Thankfully, I didn't violate the 11th commandment, and neither did you. Smug people like ourselves are not so stupid as to waste money on DRM music.

But that doesn't mean people who DID spend money DESERVE this 'punishment'. Quite the contrary - they deserve what all customers deserve, either a functional product or their money back.
